The NFL has announced changes to the Week 17 schedule, and the Kansas City Chiefs are losing their last early game of the season.

Patriots fined $1.1M, docked 2021 NFL Draft pick in latest cheating scandal Members of the Patriots' TV team were seen recording from the Cincinnati Bengals' press box. According to the former Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs defensive back, the Patriots would sweep hotels in hopes of finding an opposing team’s gameplan or playbook laying around. Kansas City Chiefs tampering punishment proves the Patriots got off easy The NFL went very light on the Patriots for their most recent round of cheating. Last season, the New England Patriots were. As reported by Terez Paylor of The Kansas City Star, the Chiefs were found to have illegally tampered during the recruitment of wide receiver Jeremy Maclin before he officially became a free agent. The team lost a third-round draft pick in 2016 and sixth-round draft pick in 2017. October 4, 2020 9:43 am The Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots game appears to be headed toward a Monday night reschedule. According to NFL Network reporters Ian Rapoport and Tom.

The Chiefs are now set to host the Chargers at 3:25 p.m. CT on Sunday, Jan. 3 at Arrowhead Stadium. The game was originally scheduled for a noon CT kickoff, but it’ll now be played among several games set to be played in the afternoon slate. The game was also originally scheduled to be broadcast on CBS, but will be broadcast on Fox instead.

This means Kansas City will have played just five games during the early slate in the entire season. If there was more tailgating at Arrowhead Stadium this year, fans would likely be irate by the move.

Here’s a look at the NFL’s new schedule for Week 17:

The NFL typically uses flexible scheduling to ensure that games with playoff implications are played during prime-viewing times. After the Chiefs locked up the No. 1 seed in Week 16, the game vs. the Chargers became virtually meaningless for Kansas City. They likely won’t even play their starters this week, so the move makes little sense in that regard. Still, it’ll be a good matchup between AFC West opponents to close out the year. Perhaps there is some viewing appeal to warrant the change.

The rematch between the Chiefs and the Raiders on 'Sunday Night Football' was another shootout, but this time Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City came out on top 35-31.

Las Vegas took a 31-28 lead late in the fourth quarter on a 1-yard touchdown pass from Derek Carr to tight end Jason Witten. The problem was they left 1:43 on the clock — way too much time for Mahomes.

With surgical precision, Mahomes led a seven-play, 75-yard touchdown drive, all passes, six completed. The final heave was a 22-yard strike to a wide-open Travis Kelce in the middle of the end zone with 28 seconds remaining.

Mahomes finished the night with 34-of-45 passing (75.6 percent) for 348 yards and two touchdowns, with one interception. Tyreek Hill had a game-high 11 catches for 102 yards and a TD, and Kelce had a game-high 127 yards receiving on eight catches.

Kansas City's passing game was excellent as per usual, but so was its ground game. Clyde Edwards-Helaire led the way with 14 carries for 69 yards and two TDs, while Le'Veon Bell added 25 yards and a TD on seven carries.

Carr had another great outing against the Chiefs, completing 23 of 31 passes (74.2 percent) for 275 yards and three TDs, with one interception (which ended Las Vegas' final drive at the end of the game). It's hard to fault him or anyone else on the Raiders' offense; they just left too much time on the clock for Mahomes at the end.

Kansas City (9-1) moves to three games up on Las Vegas (6-4) in the AFC West. The Chiefs will travel to Tampa next weekend to face Tom Brady and the Buccaneers while the Raiders will travel to Atlanta to face the Falcons.
